Terms of service

What Ladgerline promises and does not promise, how credits and refunds work, and the limits that apply.

PLACEHOLDER — before launch, replace this note with your registered legal entity name and the governing-law jurisdiction, and have a lawyer review this page. The commercial mechanics below match how the product actually behaves.

These terms govern your use of ladgerline.com and the Ladgerline application. By creating an account you agree to them.

What the service is

Ladgerline reads a service contract and a repair invoice that you upload and returns a line-by-line assessment of which charges appear to be covered, which appear to be legitimately billable, and which the contract does not settle. Each finding cites the clause it relies on.

What it is not

Ladgerline is not a law firm and its output is not legal advice. It is a first-pass review intended to support your own judgement. We do not promise that a report is complete or free of error, that a vendor will accept any finding, or that you will recover any amount. Before you dispute a charge, read the clause the report cites and satisfy yourself that you agree with it.

The quality of a report depends on the documents you supply. An incomplete contract, a missing schedule of covered equipment or an absent service report will produce a more cautious result, because the software will say a charge requires confirmation rather than guess at it.

Credits, payment and refunds

  • Audits are paid for with credits, bought in packs. One credit runs one audit. Credits do not expire.
  • Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Your purchase contract for payment purposes is with them.
  • A credit is spent when an audit is started. If an audit fails for a technical reason, the credit is returned to your balance automatically.
  • Because an audit is delivered immediately and cannot be un-delivered, credits already spent on a completed audit are not refundable. Unused credits can be refunded on request within 30 days of purchase.

Your documents and your account

You keep all rights in the documents you upload. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store those documents, extract their text, send that text to our model provider for processing, and return a report to you. We do not use your documents to train models and we do not share them beyond what the privacy policy describes.

You are responsible for having the right to upload the documents you upload, for keeping your password secret, and for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

Do not use Ladgerline to process documents you have no right to, attempt to access another customer's account or reports, probe or overload the service, or resell reports as though they were an independent professional opinion. We may suspend an account that does any of these.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation. Audits depend on a third-party model provider, and an outage there can pause audits. Where an audit cannot complete, your credit is returned.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost savings, or the outcome of any dispute with a vendor.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the updated date below the title will change and material changes will be notified by email. You may close your account at any time by emailing support@ladgerline.com.
